The Patrologia Graeca (Migne) in Greek Unicode via PDF
In my last post I suggested that native Greek sites may be a good place to find ancient Greek texts online. I feel more than vindicated in this suggestion by a great cache of Patrologia Graeca volumes that I found shortly after posting that weblog entry. The site is at the domain name aegean.gr, the directory is entitled patrologia, and an index of Greek texts, sorted by century, is available on a page entitled κλείδα (contents).
Each link leads to a subdirectory with links to PDF files containing various Migne materials in Greek Unicode. Google Books has featured many Migne volumes for some time now, but searching them for specific authors, works, and even volumes is pretty tedious. These PDF files are much easier to browse, and you can even use the search function inside the Adobe Reader to do word or phrase searches on the Greek text (if you either have Greek functionality or can copy and paste Greek Unicode from another source, that is).
At any rate, these patristic PDF files are quite a boon, in my judgment, to biblical and patristic scholars and enthusiasts who frequent the internet.
