Eusebius, History of the Church

08 Aug 2007   posted by: Ben C. Smith   tags: website links, eusebius

I have just uploaded a page on Eusebius of Caesarea to my site. Once again, just like the Irenaeus page that I mentioned recently, it is woefully underdeveloped. But I would once more like to highlight one associated page to which it links.

I have constructed an iframes page that sets the only online Greek copy (of which I am aware) of the Church History by Eusebius alongside the standard online Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers series translation of that invaluable work. You can access the text book by book, and both the Greek and the English use the same numeration system, with only occasional and virtually insignificant differences.

The purpose, naturally, is to set the original Greek alongside the English translation for easier searching. You can actually search the bottom window (the translation window) for English words or phrases using the usual find function in your browser.

I hope this page proves helpful, and if there are any problems with Mozilla, Firefox, Opera, or other browsers, please let me know. Still in the dark ages, I guess, I still use Explorer.

Thanks.
