ANNOUNCING:

The Egyptology Graduate Student Association of the University of Memphis welcomes submissions for its Third Annual Graduate Student Egyptology Symposium on April 10, 2010. Paper topics must pertain to Predynastic / Dynastic Egypt. Submissions must be written by current graduate students in Egyptology, History, Art History, Anthropology, Archaeology or any other related field.

Abstracts between 300 to 500 words may be submitted to: egsaofumsymposium@gmail.com. Included with an abstract students must submit current contact information including: name, address, institution, faculty reference or advisor, the degree program which they are enrolled and current year in graduate studies.

The deadline for the submission of abstracts is March 1. The selected participants will be notified by March 15. For more information or any questions please respond to this email. We look forward to receiving your abstracts. {abstracts will be accepted for up to 1 week after the deadline but not after}.

N.B. papers considered "alternative" history (e.g. mysticisim, Atlantis, pyramidology, UFOs) will not be accepted.
